Every piece is unique and should be treated with care to ensure that they will be used, talked about, and admired for years to come. Clean your handmade cutting boards after each use by hand with a little soap and hot water. Do not put your board in your dishwasher. Wipe by hand and allow it to dry upright. White vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, or lemon can be used to disinfect and remove harsh odors. Use a food-safe mineral oil to polish your board. This will help maintain an attractive finish, prevent cracking, and seal the grain against bacteria and the penetration of moisture.

Flax seed oil, coconut oil, walnut oil (unless you have a nut allergy), butcher block oil, and beeswax are all suitable alternatives. Stay away from vegetable oils, which will turn rancid quickly.

Warm the oil slightly before applying. Rub the oil with a lint-free cloth in the direction of the wood grain. Allow the oil to soak in between each coat, you will need to apply about 4-5 coats. This is a process but you only need to do this about once a month (unless you’re OCD, OCD, OCD…). Wait about four to six hours and then wipe off the excess oil that did not soak in all the way.

1. Do not leave your wood cutting board in standing water. This can cause the board to split.

2. Store your handcrafted cutting boards in a clean, dry place and away from food products (or bears.…they’re aggressive)

3. Do not stack your handmade wood cutting board with other boards or kitchen utensils when drying (Your board may be a bit conceded). Allow board to dry separately.

Short answer: YES

We have make every effort to make everything with our bare hands. We also do our best to mill our own wood for the product we make. When we are unable to do that we use suppliers that are local and believe in preserving this craft. Our supplies, cut down trees the old fashion way, but prefer trees that have fallen naturally, mill every tree to get the most out of it, age the trees under a watchful eye and then hand deliver to us.

We carefully choose the woods that we will blend together and then begin the process of bringing them to life.

We ship anywhere in the US. We ship orders within 2 working days; however, we can’t directly control delivery times once the package has left our hands. It is safe to assume that your order will arrive in your hands within 5 to 7 days, unless there "Perfect Storm" or raccoons have invaded. Once you are received your board, we can begin the bragging...just sayin'
